*** #8 WBB vs. Indiana State***

Thought that too. Almost felt like the game was moving too fast for them. Not that o thought they were atrocious, but they seemed lost at times

I’m cool with letting them dip their toes in non-con games where they have minimal impact, but I certainly hope that crew won’t be doing conference games

Pretty sure the lead official tonight (who called that atrocious continuation early) has done a Final Four and WNBA Finals within the last 2 years.

We'll see her quite a bit.

Does Ames still have a strip club? Maybe they'll go there for dinner after the game. It's the only way to get good food I'm told.

That Indiana St team was fairly high on the cute/attractive scale. Pretty athletic also definitely a step above Chicago St.

That was a horrible call, thought I was watching an NBA game on that one. Overall the refs called a good game, not a lot to complain about, one thing I noticed they were allowing the gals to palm the ball, which we were called on a couple of times the other night.

I've never been a fan of them ignoring obvious ball palming/carrying. I was slightly encouraged by them calling it in the first game. That was almost certainly an aberration and will be back to ignoring it. Traveling and palming has been "cool" in the NBA for decades so it's cool on down the line at other levels. Fans like cool moves and violations result in cool moves so it's given a pass.

She reffed the national championship game in April and did game three of the WNBA finals this year.

I thought the refs did a good job last night overall. Not much to complain about. The women's game has made it a point over the last decade to hire and promote more woman as refs for their games. Have a good friend that used to work B12 and MVC games, and he was told that he will be getting fewer games in the future from those leagues, because they wanted more women to be involved. He was not thrilled with the idea, he understood but told me at the time, the women refs were being promoted over more qualified men and many were not ready for the job. Just not enough experience working games to be reffing that caliber of league games was his opinion.

I don't care if it's male or female refs, I just want to see consistency, and that has been a major issue in the women's game for years. One half, players can barely touch someone and it's foul, the next half, it's all out war and nothing is called.

The three last night struggled with what a moving screen is, because Indiana State was rarely set when they set a screen, yet they only got called once.
