I can't believe how bad their defense is looking. Like I said earlier, a Nova guy got a pass and bobbled it before taking (and making) a 3 and not a single Hawk player was anywhere near him, even after the bobble. They look slow and flat footed. Their body language is terrible.

WVU also played a mentally tough and well coached team on the first round. That is the exact opposite of Iowa

Nova is so much better than WV

They have some good young players. I like the walk on freshman. Bear? He needs to play more than he does. Wagner, Uhl, and Jok should be good players for them next season. Not quite sold on the Williams kid. He could be decent though. Gessell and Woodbury will be addition by subtraction. They'll miss Uthoff and Clemens though.

And when I say they'll miss Uthoff, I mean in first halves in December, and during the meat of their Big 10 schedule (Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Northwestern, Rutgers, Purdue, Penn State,). You know, the teams he dominated. They won't miss him in clutch moments.

They won't miss Clemmons.... at least they shouldn't... he's awful.

Wagner shows some potential. At least he's not so soft as Uthoff and Woodpile.

i actually think the game would be 30+ spread right now if Nova just played straight up man to man...that Match up zone is susceptible to 3's and it's not necassary at all..nova should be in man entire game.

i wouldn't say they are the same style. WVU is a pressing team that lives off turnovers. They aren't really known for their offense even though it was better this year. WVU likes to pound it inside.

nova is a team that loves the 3 ball that's 42% of their offense. They are up tempo but that's because they push fast after the opponent missed shots. They prefer the 3 ball but will pound it inside if the other team try's to take it away. Nova is also a drive and kick out team.

WVU would let Uthoff and Jok get some jumpers. This Nova team is so much different.

I think they're rushing the shots in fear of the D pressing, felt like it a bit anyways.

Jok and Wagner should be solid. Baer will be up and down. X factor is if Cook can contribute on day 1.

Only Iowa homers see tons of optimism for the rest of what returns and comes in. The question remains of who their PG is. It certainly isn't Christian Williams like their trolls here thought it would be.
