7)Hawks vs 2) 'Nova

We are being abused! And no, im not talking about the refs! Nova just straight owning us....I guess I can look forward to a hopefully .500 season next year!

This is so bad I actually kind of feel bad for Gessell. He looked like he was crying in the huddle at the timeout before half.

That' because he probably was crying. Also, they probably have a team counselor attempting to get Uthoff to look somebody in the eye and close his mouth.

Keep your head up, it might actually get better when Gesell, Woodbury, and Clemmons graduate.

That was enjoyable. Hope for more of the same after half.

Its really a shame this is Woodderp and Gessels last game at Iowa.

Only two groups of people are happy about this: 1) Iowa fans; 2) The "experts" who assigned 4 stars to them when they were in high school.

I see deanvogs has firmly moved on to the "conference strength" argument, 20 minutes in to his own teams 2nd round NCAA game. lol.

Wagner is a good piece for them going forward. He should play 40 minutes today as he's the only guy that looks as tough as Nova's softest guy.

Kudos to you for taking for beating.

Not sure calling this a beating is even close to how bad that first half.
We'll be down next year as we'll be really young, but we have some talented freshman (or so they say), and at least one recruit coming in that looks like he'll get minutes next year.

Hopefully ISU can take it to UVA and advance again!

They have some good young players. I like the walk on freshman. Bear? He needs to play more than he does. Wagner, Uhl, and Jok should be good players for them next season. Not quite sold on the Williams kid. He could be decent though. Gessell and Woodbury will be addition by subtraction. They'll miss Uthoff and Clemens though.

And when I say they'll miss Uthoff, I mean in first halves in December, and during the meat of their Big 10 schedule (Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Northwestern, Rutgers, Purdue, Penn State,). You know, the teams he dominated. They won't miss him in clutch moments.

This is terrible. Villanova is so much better than Iowa I'm hoping someone on villanova doesn't get hurt by tripping over an Iowa player on the way by.
