4th quarter scared zebra sightings

Just didn't do enough right this game. No excuse for not being able to punch it in when right down on the goal line. Running Kempt is just not going to work very often.

The PI on Montgomery in the endzone was really bad, several others in there too, but that one was a guy holding on for 3 yards.

That old dude needs to stop reffing. He is too old and slow. Is that the best the conference can do. He looks like he is 80 and every penalty took way to long.

My picture makes a point. Lions and Clones seem to have key plays or calls always go the other way. Lions and Seahawks play off game last year. 4th and goal and that play happens. They call pass INT on the lions. Clearly should've backed it up and maybe field to field goal.

Point is, no matte what happens after, the game is forever altered by that. Completely agree ISU didn't show up of offense and didn't make adjustments on defense soon enough. However, when it is a clear miss on pass INT in the end zone, that would've made it first and goal, you can't say that doesn't have an impact. It is a part of the game flow. Maybe ISU scores, then WVU scores and we lose anyways. But despite the the fact that ISU started slow, a clear opportunity was taken from them at that point in time that could've impacted the game tremendously from that point moving forward. Also worth pointing out, it wasn't a 50/50 call. That was a clear pass INT 10/10 times and must be called.

Refs were turds. Tubby is a moron and earning no calls is bs in any game. Play calling was crap in red zone. Put Zeb in to run if JoelDozer is banged up. Stupid to think KK can run. Try a dive over the top maybe? Secondary was lost in 1st half - sad but they pissed the championship game down their legs. Nut punch

He's just still worn out from his time as US President.

Did anyone notice, during one extended play stoppage, when an official pointed up to his left and another official pointed right up toward the sky or into the stands? Their arms made an "x" and my son said it looks like they are telling each other "There's a UFO up there... No its over there now."

It gave us something to laugh about until play resumed. We brainstormed about other things they could have been pointing at... possums, hillbilly cousin couples, reflections off of Dana's bald spot.

Good juvenile entertainment until play finally resumed.

I'd have to review the play before their legs got tangled up in the end zone but Montgomery's "PI" in the end zone wasn't PI. Accidental contact with legs getting tangled up isn't supposed to be flagged as PI.

I believe this is from the NFHS rule book but the NCAA and NFL follow the same rule:

"Incidental and unavoidable contact is not a foul. If a defender and receiver get their feet tangled, it is not a foul. If players are backing up to position them selves to catch a pass and bump into an eligible receiver, is not a foul."

I might check it out on my DVR later today. I'll record/post it here....but likely only if it truly looks like PI that was missed. ;)

This was honestly one of the worst ref'ing jobs I've seen in years. They were missing calls, making terrible calls, making false announcements and corrections. Generally just awful professionalism.

Is there a reason Dana needs to act like a total douce after every call against his team in every game - and stand 20 yards on the field when doing it?

I'm still trying to figure out how a coach can throw his '80s retro style visor onto the field then storm out about halfway to midfield to throw a hissy-fit about a pass interference call and not get flagged...

Before the season started I saw a story on ESPN on one of their college football shows where they talked about how this year officials are going to put a stop to this type of action. Dana was one of the coaches that was shown in the piece for his actions on the field towards officials. Guess they forgot they were to flag coaches for such actions.

Refs didn't cause Kempt to badly underthrow that deep ball to Ryen on the last drive. The go ahead TD was there for the taking. Not every pass can be a high school floater at this level.
