27 pay periods

Salaried employees receive their normal pay. All employees will not have any elective deductions (medical, hsa, etc) on the 27th paycheck as they were calculated at 26 payrolls

So people will actually see an increase in their take home pay

This is how my company does it as well, but instead of it occurring paycheck 27, it occurs whenever 3 pay periods close in a single month

My former employer would just keep our paychecks the same for all 27 pay periods, which was a nice bonus that few people appreciated. My latest company has been sending out messages warning us that our paycheck amounts will go down because our salary is being split between 27 instead of 26 paychecks. How is your employer handling this?
I don't see how that's possible unless you're a salaried worker. If you're an hourly employee and work 40 hours every week, you should get 27 paychecks, or one extra paycheck for the year. Salaried employees are paid an annual salary and they would have to divide that salary among 27 paychecks instead of the regular 26, so I could see how that could happen. Most employers wouldn't be that petty, however.

When HR stops by to tell you that you will not be receiving a check for the bonus pay period this year, but everyone will be receiving a free poinsetta to take home if they stop by the front desk on 12/24 at the end of business:

Yes, only for salaried workers, which is probably 80% of our staff.
