Heard Hoiberg’s name thrown out there in a podcast I was watching last night.

They hadn’t heard his name being mentioned at all, they were just throwing out some possible names they could go after. I thought it was stupid…. why would Fred leave Nebby for KSU?

I will say…. it would tick me off. It was one thing for Fred to leave for the NBA, and then go to Nebby, but if he goes into the Big 12 to compete against us…. ummmm…. no! Please don’t ever do that to us Fred!

Oddly, Bob Huggins could make sense at K-State. Decent, cost-effective, stopgap solution while the Tang financial folly is sorted out. He has the familiarity with KSU, and a salvagable career redemption arc. Concern would be age, but for 1-2 yrs, is that a real issue? I suspect he could assemble a very solid staff, and his hack em to hell defensive system can be adopted quickly, and works in the Big 12. Cost savings alone makes this worth kicking the tires on a Hall of Famer.
