As a lifelong Iowa State and Yankee fan the last hour took 20 years off my life. I was texting my family who are the same that are still in Iowa and in jack trice I am so jealous you only had to deal with one of those.
Last time the Yankees were in the World Series.

Little bit of Iowa flashback to Worlds Series long past.
Frank Miller was the cartoonist for the Des Moines Register from 1953 till his death in 1983, back when the Register was a respected newspaper. He won a Pulitzer in 1963. Guessing that is why the Register humored him each fall and each spring when he'd do his Yankee fan cartoon with his repeated slogan of "An official World Series must have the Yankees in it". I was a big Mickey Mantle fan as a kid so, of course, I liked those cartoons.
Here's one from the 1970's when Nixon was president.

Previous two meetings of Yankees-Dodgers in WS (1978 and 1981) ... Team with home field advantage won first two games at home, then lost the next 4.
Stanton certainly stood there and admired his HR. He should get one square in the back next at bat
Doesn't seem like that is a thing anymore. (I wasn't watching at the time. Did anybody get beaned?)

Torres at second base was the reason it even went to extra innings.
