MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Couple more homers for Judge (50, 51) and Soto-Judge-Stanton go back-to-back-to-back this afternoon. Seven HR for Judge in last seven games.

ESPN motormouth Smith explaining that Judge is getting good looks because Soto is hitting behind him. For those who don't know the lineup, Judge has batted AFTER Soto all year. Smith is such a goof. They pay millions to this idiot talking head. I don't get it.

I've only be half paying attention the last few weeks when it became evident they were going to choke on their easy August schedule. If Judges homers I can watch that on Twitter later. And saw this which pretty much sums up why I am following along some but no longer watching much.

Woof!

I mostly pulled the plug on watching Yankee games live back a couple of weeks ago. Watched a few innings here and there versus the Cards based on old WS nostalgia but other than that the Yanks are underperforming way too much to justify me wasting time watching. Keep up via the stuff that pops into my Twitter feed.

Fox talking head here is spot on picking the Orioles. They haven't been playing well either but they don't seem to be broken like the Yanks, other than their bullpen. If Yanks make it past the wildcard series, which I find doubtful, maybe I'll tune in for the next series. Got to the age where I just don't watch stuff that doesn't provide any actual enjoyment. Young teen me would have watched every 10th place Yank game in 1966 if given the chance but I am not that kid anymore. You can't get back wasted hours, they are just gone.

Please.... they will end up hosting the Twins.... AGAIN. And be JUST FINE that first round.

Good way to derail your career before it ever had a chance:

Guessing he gets a chance with another organization at some point but that is going to be a tough one to win over a lockeroom going forward as he pretty much sabotaged a game for personal benefit because he wanted the season to be over. Don't know if there are any kinds of gambling lines on single A baseball games but if there are I would hope they investigate that potential angle of it too.

He'll be out of baseball for the next 15 years and than reemerge as a 36 year old pitcher. A reverse Roy Hobbs. ;)

I'm guessing his professional baseball career is toast.
