MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

When the catcher calls a pitch, he hits a button that sends it to the pitcher. What does the pitcher hear? Is what he hears in English, Spanish, or Japanese?

This off-season MLB needs to evaluate types of calls that are currently non-reviewable.

I don't want to go back to 3 hour games. But if MLB is going to micro manage ump decisions at ball/strike level, other decisions should be reviewable.

In recent Cubs/Rockies & Dodgers/Orioles games batters were called out when there was a question whether hit ball struck batter while they were in batters box. Calls were non-reviewable, but reviewing HBP is OK?

At 38 Paul Goldschmidt is the oldest position player active on a roster right now. Was signed as bench depth and 1st base mentor. Injuries have pushed him into playing everyday and he's hitting .297 overall and .403 versus lefties.

Still, I was not expecting him to homer twice last night off the reigning Cy Young pitcher.

Yanks are starting their annual June fade. It's an annual Aaron Boone team tradition in half of the years he has managed in NY, start hot and in 1st and fade to a wildcard by the All-Star Game break and than blame injuries. The only difference this year is that the whole league sucks with 2/3's of the teams being under .500.
