I’d be fine with a veteran back up who would be a good mentor of sorts to JJ, mental game etc. doesn’t need to play just show the kid how things are done from Monday through Saturday
There is no reason to sign Rodgers unless you've been lying about either JJs health, or your confidence in his ability. Rodgers cost means he's likely the year long starter (I'm assuming he doesn't sign for 10 mil) and in no way does he seem like someone you'd bring in to help JJ develop.
$10.25 million up to $14 million with incentives. Happy to see him back for one more year.

Also, trainers and sports medicine personnel are on anxiety meds in preparation for the season.

I agree. We got some good players, just gotta stay healthy and hope that McCarthy has a good season.
Hitman is a Viking through and through. He's taken pay cuts to stay in Minny. He will go down as one of my fav Vikings.
The most important addition to me was Fries the guard, who I believe is 27 and while coming off of a broken tibia, should be back at 100%.
On the other hand, shifty Sheftler is saying the opposite. He says he is hearing ‘no evidence’ that the Vikes are interested in Rodgers.
Hopefully they can sign a reliable, experienced backup in the next couple of days in the $10 million range. Mariota and Jones are now off the table. Rudolph?

The all started with a report that the Vikings are analyzing their QB options and Rodgers name has come up. That's most likely true along with every other QB free agent. Nothing reliable has said they were focused on him or that he was near the top of the list or anything.
Jameis Winston too right? I would really enjoy him as a locker room vet backup. Plus if McCarthy gets hurt watching him throw for 500 yds with 3 TDs and 5 Ints would be fun.
I wonder if Tannehill would come back as a mentor. There's also Teddy Bridgewater and the stache.
Missed that one, the list is getting shorter. Surprised that these guys are only going in the $4-7 million range. KOC now leaning to Lance as a reclamation project?
