Omarion Hampton would be an interesting pick. I don't normally think running backs are a good idea in the first round, but I think he could be pretty special. Really good combo of size and speed. Have him split time with Aaron Jones, which hopefully keeps both of them fresher. And running behind the new and improved offensive line should provide plenty of opportunities for success. And a young quarterback has no better friend than a strong running game.
Agree. Hampton and Jeanty are the only consensus top two RB picks in the draft. If the Vikes can trade down and still pick him up in the bottom of the first it would fill a big need.

Always interesting to see the way that the contracts break down. Both Allen and Murphy's cap numbers for 2025 come in a lot lower than I expected. $6 and $5 million respectively.

The Vikings signed two DT so cross that off the draft board. Vikings signed a C and G but you need two G's, so I think that is still a priority. Vikings signed two CB's of note and resigned one of their S. So I think S is still a priority. But if Harrison Smith decides to return then S will drop down in importance. In that case, a RB or WR might be a higher priority. If the Vikings end up having a 1st and 3rd, I would look at G or S (if Harrison Smith decides to retire) in the first round. In the 3rd round I would look at G or S whichever was not taken in the 1st round or a highly rated RB or WR (if Harrison Smith decides to return and S is down graded in need). But always keep an eye out for 'the best available' in case someone drops.

I wouldn't be 100 percent sure that taking a defensive tackle is off the table. They did sign two, but neither are long term solutions. They're one or two year rentals, in reality. Having an up and comer could be advantageous.

Kupp isn't likely to happen, but dumb question, what about Tyler Lockett? I have no idea how many teams are interested in him, but he can still produce and I think he would be an amazing #3 WR.

I'd be fine with Lockett. There are a number of free agent wrs out there that wouldn't be bad. A lot of them are older guys, who might not have a ton of tread left on the tires but might make a good one year rental.
Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, Brandin Cooks. Not likely to light the world on fire but certainly good enough to be a solid number 3. Heck, Diggs is available, but I can't imagine that would ever happen

I love the Vikings but I will seriously have to question their decision making if they sign Rodgers. He can destroy a team. This ain’t Favre from 15 years ago
I imagine some LONG and heart to heart talks would have to be had with Aaron, KOC and Kwesi before a deal was done to make sure his heads in it. Can’t destroy that locker room. Vikings are loaded right now and ready to go.

Not exactly sure.
So Rodgers could be released at 3 our time. Do the Vikings fly him out tomorrow to announce or just hit it tonight?

God damn it.

God ******* damn it.

They're going to do this because they always do this and it's going to be a spectacular failure, because it's always a spectacular failure. I thought KOC was smarter than this. I thought Kwesi was smarter than this. Once you wear the purple, something happens. And it's bad.
