You'd like to see more starters come out of a draft than that, but there's still some meat on the bone. That's the thing with Spielman. He had some major hits to go with some major flops. You love him when he's getting guys like Justin Jefferson, Harrison Smith, Kendricks, Hunter and Diggs. Those were all major home run picks that took some skill to identify and draft. But a lot of bad ones too.

If you get a really good starter, which Darrisaw sure seems like he's going to be, a draft can't be a complete flop. But that seems to be the story of Spielman. Find a few pro bowl guys in the mid- and late-first, also get some nice starters later on.

But he had way too many guys picked where you should be expecting at least a starter or guy that plays just getting cut, particularly in the defensive backfield. And I'd say some of those guys picked still getting playing time, particularly on the OL, were only starting, playing and sticking on the roster because they had spent so little draft and FA capital on those 5 positions that someone has to play it.
