***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

SEA just experienced a prime tier Vikings ending. Go up late with momentum. Give up a fluke TD to get behind. Drive down the field, miss a FG. Get a defensive stop and get the ball back with time. Immediately turn it over.

Vikes just keep stacking them up. Darnold helping the Vikes make a good tag and trade deal look better every week.

Hearing the Vikes will tag Darnold and mull over what they might do with McCarthy

I think it would actually be a smart move. Darnold still gets paid well and the Vikings can see if this was a one year fluke or if Darnold is the QB for the next 5-10 years

Well that one got the ticker palpitating. I’ll take it though the NFC is still there for the taking

This is indeed an exciting season. But their record in NFC title games is pretty dismal. Not expecting to get to THE GAME.... but hope I'm wrong.

Tag and trade him to a team who wants a QB they can sign to an extension.
That's a risky game with the QB tag. Can't trade a player until the franchise tender is signed. Hard to get full value in a trade. If Darnold doesn't want to go to a crappy team, (which would be understandable given his history) he can just hold off on signing the tender until after the draft. Other teams know that, and will low-ball. If Minnesota tags Darnold, it will be because they want him to start for another year.

Yeah, I’ve seen this movie a bunch of times. Kinda nice to see a fresh take on it, I gotta admit

So everyone is complaining about the college playoffs being so unfair. The Vikings may have 14 wins and find themselves a 5 seed with a road game against a 9 or 10 win rams or bucs team.
How depressing would it be to be a 14 win team and potential not have a home playoff game?
