MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

Sharing this with the only people on here who may appreciate it. Y’all remember the fishing scene from the movie Little Big League? Definitely (and unintentionally) stumbled across the bridge it was filmed on this afternoon at Minnehaha Falls. Thanks @CloniesForLife for the tip on this park!

It was overshadowed by Rookie of the Year, The Sandlot, and Angels in the Outfield but Little Big League was solid. The baseball action was some of the best for any movie of its time. It was fun for kids, and watching as an adult I appreciate the baseball strategy discussions.

I'll never forgive Junior for robbing Lou Collins of that home run.

I agree. It was one of the quintessential movies of my childhood being a twins fan. I rewatched during the rona and it did not hold up well and I regretted doing that but I still love it. I went ape (thoroughly confusing those I was with) when I realized that bridge was the same one from the movie, like a piece of my childhood coming to life.

Talk to me about that restaurant like hundreds and hundreds of people who were in line for right next to the falls? Fish fry or something?
It's a seafood restaurant that is only open in the summer. Supposed to be good but never been!

Sea Salt? Good fish tacos, but no idea why people will wait forever. Love me some Minnehaha Falls

Yeah I've always wanted to try it but every time I'm there it's packed and no way I want to wait a super long time when there are tons of good food options in the cities

Sea Salt has terrific food if you don't mind the wait, a pretty good beer selection, and the ice cream on the backside of the building is good, too.

Little St Paul action today? Don’t mind if I do.

(Miranda looks beyond lost at the plate BTW. Julien seems to be trending in the right direction though. Looked competent at second too.)
