MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

I was curious about the payroll differences so using this site (https://www.stevetheump.com/Payrolls.htm#2002payroll) here's what I found:

From 2002 - 2024
The Yankees had a combined payroll of $4,614,807,579, the Twins $2,040,248,047 ($2,574,559,532 difference).
The Yankees won 2,056 games, the Twins 1,782.
The Yankees cost/win: $2,244,556.22
The Twins cost/win: $1,144,920.34

So the Twins won ~85% of the games the Yankees won, at half the cost, with an equal number of championships. Though the Yankees did appear in the 2003 WS (losing to the Marlins) while the Twins have not appeared in that time.

I think it's a defend-able argument that the Twins spend the money they have better than the Yankees (Taking Donaldson??? Really?) But at the same time, I envy the Yankees goal of winning a WS rather than just being "competitive".

Only second time in franchise history that all Twins starters had an RBI in today’s game. Nice see Correa coming around with his career first five hit game.

Looking at the current All-Star voting and Correa is not even in the top five for SS. Hopefully him and Witt end up 1-2 when the votes are all in.

That whole thing is kind of a massive joke. He in particular will never do well in fan voting.

Carlos Correa hit by pitch and he headed straight to the clubhouse. Radio call said he was shaking his head no like he knew immediately something wasn't right.
