Yeah, with Goolsby struggling and Jackson injured, DeRonde filled in at OH and was awesome in the front and back rows.Clones win the 4th 25-19!
DeRonde started in the front row and Martin played DS. DeRonde has four or five kills from the back row tonight.
Only one was a glaring missed call. The hit outside the pole by KSU.I’m following on stats.broadcast.com and kept seeing the score change-wow! Same official making those calls?
I couldn’t believe that. Other close calls sure…but completely outside the antenna is insane. The line judge probably wasn’t paying attention but the down ref should’ve clearly seen that.Only one was a glaring missed call. The hit outside the pole by KSU.
I agree with the grey uniforms ~ wish we would step away from that trend.Flipped this on ESPN app, thought it was KSU scrimmage.
ISU chose to wear awful gray jerseys @ KSU?![]()
Ehh....net violation was pretty obvious, tooOnly one was a glaring missed call. The hit outside the pole by KSU.
I tuned in after the 1st set and the team went 3-1 so I want some credit for the win.Well that was ugly. Clones drop the first set 25-16. They are playing without Hendricks-Walker and Jackson.
Somebody told me they changed the rule this year that if you do not contact the ball behind your head and bring it forward they aren't going to call a throw. It used to be prolonged contact in the hand anywhere in front or behind your head was a fault.I’ll never understand how some players get away with throws/power tips like they do. I mean more power to them if they can get away with it I guess.
as much as I took credit for the win at kstate I will take the loss since I didn't turn it on until after the first set and they lost 3 in a row. they just looked half step low.Clones lose the 4th 25-19.
Brenizer started in place of Hanfelt and scored her first point as a Cyclone. Wachholz came in for the last few points.
Service errors seem to be a common theme this year unfortunately.Watching the team last night, the schedule is starting take take a small toll. Between some more injuries, ladies being sick and some players being a bit ”off” their normal game makes a bit tough.
The biggest two differences I saw in the loss was height (only so much talent can make up for losing 5”-8” when talent is similar) and consistency with spots on the floor.. The outside hitter for KU was simply destroying each hit with power, no other speed, but had a spot on the floor she could be consistent with.
It didn’t help the number of service errors for ISU to help retain the serve and keep the flow going. But games like that happen.
