I don’t know how many disappointing years in a row it’s going to take to humble the SEC but it seems clear it’s more than the 3 we’ve had so far.

I think 2-3 more years of not winning a natty should do it, the narrative is already building with NIL vs the bagmen payments the SEC was known for and if they continue to miss out on championships (or even better don’t make the championship) then reality will smack them soon.

They seem to begrudgingly admit the top of the SEC hasn’t been as good, but they are clinging as strong as ever to the view that the conference top-to-bottom is more or less just as tough as playing in the AFC West. It makes for fun reading in the comment section on posts like this.

what are the Big 12 tie-ins this year?
Believe they are still the same as last year. The contracts were up but not being able to figure out the Playoff think they just extended them for another year.

1. Valero Alamo Bowl vs Pac-12 tie-in
2. Pop-Tarts Bowl vs ACC
3. Kinder's Texas Bowl vs SEC
4. AutoZone Liberty Bowl vs SEC
5. Cactus Bowl vs Big Ten
6. Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl vs AAC

Alternate Affiliations, if available
- Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs American Athletic or C-USA
- SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs ACC or American Athletic
