Also, GameDay going to Baton Rouge (Clemson/LSU) and Austin (Ohio State/Texas) to start the season.

 
Well it looks like the SEC as of now is the only one that doesn't want 24 teams:

Apparently ESPN agrees with SEC:


Is that because they wouldn’t have the right to televise all of the games? Or because they think it would reduce the value of the non-CFP bowl games that they televise? I’m not sure I understand ESPN’s rationale on that.

I think I get it from the SEC’s perspective, they just think the additional teams that will get in aren’t deserving and a good chunk of the new teams will be from conferences they don’t respect. Maybe because ESPN is closely aligned with the SEC they just want what’s best for the SEC?
