2025 World Championships

Jax is into the semi finals, pj duke hoping to get pulled back in after losing to last years world champ 11-7. Next round that guy beat Austin Gomez 10-8 in a back and forth match so Austin Gomez and PJ Duke could wrestle to get in to the bronze match. Zahid Valencia is in the semis and will have Ghasempour the Iranian that David Taylor had to beat last year for bronze at 92. Wyatt went 0-1 losing to a Russian by tech
 
Duke was right there with the world champ. These young kids are legitimate contenders on the world stage. Pj will be a real contender domestically at 74kg.

Off topic but anyone know the story behind David’s friendship with Lance Runyon? Followed that link to David’s instagram and saw Lance was in his wedding party. He was at UNI before coming over to Ames this summer as the new S&C coach. Assuming they became friends on the freestyle circuit? Did they ever wrestle at any level? Lance started high school as a 106 (may have even been in the 103 days), grew steadily, and was competing nationally from a young age so maybe. Just wild to see a kid from my small-ish hometown in David’s wedding party.

They are legitimate world contenders, and I’m interested to see how they hold up long-term. For USA’s sake, I hope we see them for a long time. But the knees, shoulders, neck, lower back can usually only take so much. That’s why I think these kids Bo and Jax would be better off skipping their senior year and moving on to bigger and better things now. Strike while the irons hot. Dustin Schlatter may be a bad comparison but it happens

I know David and Marcus come to CF for training some times, so maybe know each other from then??
 
Is there a bout listing website that will send me an alert when David is coming up?
 
I don't understand how guys get put on the clock. Haines has taken basically every shot in this match. Is it solely based on center position?
