2025 Transfer Options

I think football programs will drop like Flys unless you have a wealth Donner and if can't win they will get tired of wasting money

I don’t disagree, but if you’re not switching, then your bigs better be fast enough to recover and ours weren’t.
Yep, with the 3 ball being shot more and more, you need athletic bigs for defense to win at the highest level. You won't see the top teams with the Dickerson and President Jackson types.

We don't have the free agency budget to go big game hunting... It has to be a team effort

There is roughly 42 PPG to replace (17 CuJo, 13 Gilbert, 12 from the centers combined) to replace next year.

Tamin +4
Milan +4
Jefferson +4
Heise +5

Your key returning players HAVE to step up in this scenario..

Mulder +5
Williams +6

That right there is 28 PPG. If you land Rohde, that is 7-10 PPG there. Land Cluff and thats another 8-10 PPG. Everyone getting better is how we replace two super senior guards.

--------------

My biggest concern for 2025/26 is who steps into the killer role, who gets the ball when the other team goes on an 8-0 run and you need to stop the bleeding??
More defense.

Feels like it’s going to be over pretty soon. It’s a good sign that he’s coming back to Ames. Better than the alternative. You’d think that we still have a shot as he could just make a phone call if he was set on Purdue.

Meeting in Ames goes like this.

And he wants to let the auction begin...
Maybe, but he scheduled visits with Purdue and Iowa St. Not exactly the richest of NIL programs. Given his ranking and efficiency numbers, I would think he could leverage for much more money some where else.

Disagree, there is a entertainment value to FB, ISU proves that don't necessarily have to be a national contender to draw a crowd.

I think collegiate sports will stratify into a semi pro type and more of a recreational type league nothing wrong with either one it is just whatever way the school and the A D. decide to go.
