Agree. But there are 100s of portal guys that shoot 38% from 3. Not all of them had teams that let them shoot 11/game. If I was a team interested in him I'd worry about his limitations vs his 1 strength.

I have no idea if Bashir is a great fit for Iowa State's system. But a 6'7" high volume, high make % player is a unicorn.

I am guessing that number gets even smaller if you say put a minimum attempts at like 50.

Definitely hyperbole. The 6'7 thing means nothing to me if you are only taking 25ft shots. His FT/ rebounding numbers indicate he doesn't spend any time near the lane. Also his defensive stats show he's not using his length to his advantage or he just isn't very good.
Doesn't seem valuable if you are a one trick pony. Now if a team wants him for 6 points of the bench who is a defensive liability then go ahead. Doesn't move the needle for me

Here's our basketball checklist for needs:

A big guy that's good at banging down low
A combo guard that gets deep penetration down the middle
A wing that can go backdoor
Players that can pound it hard inside
Athletes that can double team
A team with enough stamina to go all night

Blum on the podcast said it's Home vs Iowa State. Rohde is from the Milwaukee area. Blum, iirc, said absolutely it's not about money.
