2025 NFL Draft

Yeah, but, to be fair jersey retirements are for what the athlete did for the school, not what he did or did not accomplishment afterward. Right?

I ain't no fan of the Colorado program, but, geez. . . .
But Sanders and Hunter were only there for 2 years and they didn't win a conference title or anything. The jersey retiring is all Deion's idea I'm sure.

If the titans and raiders pass on sanders he may fall to round 3.

Maybe the Lions take a flier and thing their culture counterbalances the sanders curcus.

DE was too hard to spell

I liked the humor your post received, but I wanted to offer a serious response. And I might be wrong.

Edge is those players with extreme athleticism and speed who from the outside DL position can rush with great success to pressure the QB and blitz. Think of Will McDonald.

DEs, I think, are bigger young men who possess a twitch to battle OTs and set an edge at the outside with their power.

All this is just no more than a basic understanding. If others here can elaborate and educate me as well as qwerty, please do.

Generally yes.

LBers were commonly titled Mike, Will, Sam and Jack in mid 90s. Not sure when the terminology was commonly adapted.

I.e. Mike Singletary was referred to as Middle backer. But we would absolutely be a Mike today.

I’d guess it’s been going on longer than you think, just not as well known to the everyday fan.

Did they set records? I don't know. Deion's idea, sure, I can believe that. But the university gets to choose the decorations they wish to issue. We ISU fans would tell those who criticize our decisions to go somewhere low and hot. Right?

Simeon Rice looks in great shape.
He had a kid that played bball somewhere and ISU played them.

Our linebackers were Mike, Will, and Sam when I was in junior high back in the late 70s.
