Beans were indeed rolled.
I stopped rolling a few years ago. Although it is nice for fall harvest, in my own fields it seemed to occasionally hurt emergence, and made the ground subject to wind erosion.

My neighbor keeps rolling and almost every spring I have to deal with his corn stalks along my fence lines.

Noticed a couple guys that rolled their 30 inch row beans with the their Quad Trac that has 36 inch tracks. High speed rolling and those tracks dug in deep and tore out soybeans.

Not exactly sure.
Dealers don't go through stuff any more before offering it for sale. Everything everywhere sells as-is. They're just Internet jockeys like everyone else. In farm equipment, it's always buyer beware, and if you have a good enough relationship with a dealer you may be able to get some parts for something you buy on the back end, if you complain about it.
I always get inspection sheets from my dealer that tells what they deemed needed to be fixed and what was fixed. If they just got it, they will have a budget for how much they will eat on it. I always ask to pay for the repairs and get the budget knocked off the purchase price since I buy the equipment personally and the corporation pays for repairs.

First good rain since April 18’ as local weather station said 1.5” for May. Corn was showing drought stress and beans were late coming thru corn stalks. Amazing what a little rain after warm weather will do.

In a bit of an annoying spot with beans. Pre didn't hold very well due to lack ofenough timely rain to activate. Would really have liked to wait another ~2 weeks but think we'll have to start going on a post pass before the waterhemp gets out of control.

You really only get one shot to kill Waterhemp. Do it now when it’s small and hope you can get by without a second post. Throw in more pre even if you can

I hate Waterhemp

My corn pre did poorly on some fields, but the ones by the highway stay cleaned that's what counts right?:D

We got dumped on spraying beans east of Fort Dodge yesterday- got about 200 acres done before the rain. Had some Stine corn that was struggling with getting the Acuron out of its system but made it.

Missed most of the horrible storms late last week, although one of my dad’s friends north of Goldfield lost all of his beans to hail and was hoping his corn would pull through

We got 2” at the home place and 3.8” at another farm 5 miles away.

Finished spraying beans Friday. Will start y dropping corn when it dries up. Corn is growing fast and looks good so far.

My Dad’s farm is on the edge of town on the highway. I declined to farm it until it got to the point he could not get in a tractor anymore. It was always a challenge to avoid responding at the feed store when the local coffee loungers offered expert advice or observations.

Didn't realize they got hail up by Goldfield last wk. Picked up .4 on Sat nite, it was very welcomed.

I think the storm kind of split. Sounds like between Goldfield and LuVerne got hail, then over by Sac City, but the Eagle Grove/Duncombe area just got rain. Sucked getting chased out of the field yesterday, but the rain was definitely welcome

Pea pickers down by Pilot Mound. 6 pickers and a dump wagon. They are a big machine up close. Not totally unusual but don't see them every day, so posted.
