*** 2025 FCS Playoff Thread ***

Illinois State went with the blitz one too many times. Then also had a safety on Taco Dowler. Mismatch.

4th and 1 and kick the "longish" FG (for them) in regulation and then 4th and 10 and bring the blitz in OT. Those Illinois State Coaches will be thinking about those decisions the rest of their lives.

For some reason I remembered NDSU winning kind of decisively, but I looked and was wrong. I forgot that the Bobcats came back with a flurry in the 2nd half and were in position to get a stop and the lead midway/late-ish 4th qtr. I might have to go back and rewatch that game.

I love me some FCS football. I've been to probably 5 really good games in Vermillion watching the USD coyotes, vs NDSU, SDSU, NDU, and a playoff game there the last 3-4 years. Tickets for like 40 bucks in a pretty good seat, not a huge crowd to fight, etc. USD plays in a dome for added October/November bonus. Vermillion is maybe 30-40 minutes from Sioux City (FYI). I can't say enough about the experience of FCS ball. Seriously, go to a UNI game or hit some other MVFC games. The Dakota schools are all big rivals.

My buddy is a PXP for the Kearney Lopers. They are D2, but a few teams in their conference have pretty legit stadiums for that level. I'll have to post some videos on here when I get the chance. Ive seen a couple great Lopers battles while traveling around to see their road games.

I went to Frisco 2 years ago for the Jacks/Griz natty. Electric crowd and atmosphere. Didn't have great seats, but bought them well beforehand they were only about $225.

Super bummed ISU didn't win, but what a battle. That was epic. I legit get more pumped up for the FCS playoffs than the FBS.

Wife is an Illinois St alum who attended zero sporting events while in school and never saw a game this year, but last night you would have guess she hadn’t missed a snap all year
