For those worried about cost, the mobile tickets are a great option. Not the best seats, but rarely bad.
We were going to go this route since we were in that three-year price lock after the students got moved. They raised the price on those tremendously and were only $25 cheaper if I remember correctly, so we decided to just get permanent seats in section M

I think they label that as "estimated" since nobody is guaranteed anything until you choose. This also goes along with what Pollard has stated in the past that ISU fans have been very generous to give what they have to and not what they can. Quite simply, if you want to park in a specific spot, they give you a roadmap to do that with a reserved spot. If you donate within a specific level you can estimate where your selection will be and if something is open in a higher donation area then good for you!
If there is any pushing donors back it would be from an increase of donors and not the University which would be a positive sign considering the increase and tax adjustment this year. I have a feeling the opposite happened this year.

Yeah, I'm very sad to say I was one of them who gave up my football season tickets after 30+ years of Cyclone Club membership. And our seats were perfect: top row of lower bowl on the 35-40 yrd line on West side.

This season would have averaged around $660/home game for our two tickets + parking + seat backs + donation. My wife and I just finally decided it's too much for us to keep spending when we've got so many other competing priorities.

I will be cheering faithfully in front of my TV this fall, but it's gonna be really hard. :(
We made that call 5 years ago. 25 year donors/season ticket holders. Still go to a couple games a year when friends have extras- otherwise watch on TV with friends. Don’t even miss it. Moved that part of our budget to travel and spend a month south in the winter with what we gave ISU. Still loyal but not season ticket holders.

I bought the parking pass for the first time this year and I have a dumb question. Are you guaranteed a spot in your lot on game day or do they over sell parking passes and it becomes a first come first serve basis thing?

It is a first come forst serve basis but there is a spot for everyone. Just know the closer you get to kickoff the lots will be crowded and can be difficult to navigate.

Plus tailgaters will give you a dirty look if you pull into the lot shortly before kickoff and they have to move out of the way to let you drive through. :)

Where do you find the numbers?
When I log in to my cyclone club account, it says, you are number x out of number y in your category. I don’t know if it does it all the time, but it does it whenever there is a selection process going on. I’m a numbers guy, so I keep track from year to year.

When you login to access tickets on Cyclones.com, clear any popups and click home, then there are words on the main screen. You might have to hit left or right arrows to get to it, but one of the screens shows your rank out of the total in your level.
