The 30 eastbound on-ramp at Dayton has been closed postgame for several years, because it's the same lane as the exit to 35 southbound.
If people are going all the way up to Dayton, then turn left and take up to 13th, and then right to the interstate. Much easier going north that way then trying to get on 30 over to I35. Even faster to take Grand up to 13th.

We used to head north on Elwood from the C lots, east on Lincoln Way, and north again at the first light (Hazel?) My dad used to park in that neighborhood and we'd drop him there. Continue working north to 13th, east to Grand, then north to 13th. 13th to 35 and south. Seemed to be the quickest way out of town. Once my dad moved to WDM, he just rides with us, so it's south on Elwood to 30, and out. Sloooooooow, but easy.

I've always thought Center should be closed in front of Scheman, between Alumni Ln and the C/D lot access, on game days.

That could be... or more of the higher donors dropped out, thus moving the rest of us up the pecking order. I guess we'll know when the season starts and we see how many people show up. ISU also may have some new people buying seats (lower donor level) coming off an 11 win season.

Season ticket sales are definitely down. I haven't seen a single tweet from JP which is pretty telling. He is always pumping the sunshine when it's there.

We went with Vet Med. We've got some new adds to our group and others that used to get their tickets/passes on someone else's account, so our selection times are pretty spread out. G7 transplants that did C1/C2 the first year after G7 died but have been Vet Med since. We miss the grass of G7, but there are some options in Vet Med. Walk time to/from the stadium vs C1/C2 is comparable and I imagine similar to B1 as well.

The worst part is getting out of Vet Med after the game. Postgating helps with this but man, there's got to be a better way....

If you're going home on I-35 then sneaking out "the back way" is a 1,000x better than trying to fight your way onto US-30 going east (though going west towards Boone is easy) and the interchange.

Another G7 transplant here that prefers Vet Med. Our seats are on the Southeast side and according to Google Earth it is actually a shorter walk than from C1/C2 or B1. Getting out of G7 was a horrible experience the last couple of years as well so I don't feel Vet Med is that much worse on that front. Like the option of having pavement when its wet and the grass on the outer edges when its dry.

C1/C2 are wayyyy easier to get out of than vet med, that alone makes it my easy choice. Add to that vet med is so far away from all other paved parking, and it's a no brainer. Just feels like you're completely out of the main tailgate spot when you're way up there. Everyone has their own preferences, of course.

This was my biggest hesitation when we first moved to Vet Med. Going to visit tailgates in other lots is a trek. Getting to the public grass lots isn't bad. We've got a gaggle of kids in our group and they really enjoy the open grassy disc golf area west of the lot and the creek area north of it.

Its always going to be less traffic going North and working up to 13th and out to the interstate than taking highway 30 unless you are parked in the GA lots, Vet med or south of the stadium. Lincoln way over to Grand and up is great way, you pass underneath the RR tracks there so that would not be a problem either.

Stange Rd. and the little one-way "tunnel" (Haber Rd.) under the UPRR tracks offer the same benefit.
