It's ok I'll gladly elaborate.I guess I'm to dense to understand this.
Tang started his big conditioning week he calls "shark weak" he prints off these cheesy shirts and has them do these workouts that the players seem to think is pointless or irrelevant to winning basketball, and he bombards them with his whole "crazy faith" shtick.
Obviously it's intended to build toughness and comradarie while instilling the values he wants this team to have. Nobel pursuit, I guess.
Problem is, on a team of NIL transfers that don't respect him and haven't been vetted properly by a competent evaluator and culture builder, they think he's a cringey fraud who doesn't actually know what he's doing (100% a fact).
Coleman Hawkins and Dug McDaniel, probably their two best players last year, went on a podcast to trash Tang and his cheesy methods and ridiculous antics.
I've learned this second hand from tweets made by defensive KState fans yesterday. Still amazes me how sensitive to legitimate criticism and averse to introspective accountability KState fans are. They are allowed to point out their obvious flaws and mistakes, but NOT YOU! This is the essence of TangGate. Reminds me a lot of Iowa fans in that way.
When Hawkins says "had us doing anything I was pi**ed. talking about some 'shark week' ". It's the way kids talk these days. The translation is "This dork had us doing a whole bunch of pointless ridiculous stuff, and I was upset about it because it was a waste of time and wasn't getting me or our team any better. The fact that he chose the name "shark week" for this is embarrassing and deserves to be made fun of."
