Hawk board is saying we have been in contact with Ferrari
I think Ferrari has been in contact with multiple schools. He knows his worth and he saw what Bassett was paid
haven’t been on the Iowa boards, but I’m not sure Dresser brings in AJ without Angelo being part of the equation. Just going off Willie’s post on Iowa better pay Angelo or wrestle him. But I know the Ferrari family is tight and if Angelo and AJ can wrestle together, that might be an intriguing opportunity for them
AJ has been calling a whole sheet of schools. Of course he called us and conversations took place. Did they also list RU, tOSU, Minn, Nebraska, etc?
AJ is a hot mess. Now, granted he may have grown up a little bit, but he had the Oklahoma State locker room in shambles. All kinds of shenanigans went on, stuff with girls on campus, to fights, to trying to get John Smith to get teammates removed etc. NOW, MAYBE Perry can help control all of that? IDK, I just think you are signing a deal with the devil to bring him in to ANY program. Just my 2 cents. Angelo WILL start next year for the Hawks, no question, the challenge is, the AD does not want AJ (I am told)
I would be curious to read the thread if you have a link. I just can’t imagine dresser bringing in AJ, unless Angelo would come with and that does not feel remotely possible. Even in that scenario I have a hard time saying I’m excited for AJ despite it being exactly the weight we need.
They have has to deal with other headaches the last few years. Granted…not to the level AJ has presented to the programs he’s been associated with, but somewhat similar ball parks.
If you could get AJ and Angelo you have to strongly consider it but just AJ? Hell no. Think how good the team would be with contenders at 184, 197, HWT, 133/141, and 149.
I'm not going to lie. If there's anything to these rumors at all, I would have a REALLY hard time supporting a team with AJ on it. I would not want my money paying that ***hat. Saying that, I doubt there's anything more to it than HIM reaching out to schools, so we're said to be "in contact". But, if we're even toying with the idea... I hate it.
Maybe internally, but not close to the external noise they would have if they brought him in.

Oh…100% agree. The external noise is what makes AJ’s actions what they are. Still…it’s not like there haven’t been very similar issues a lot closer to home, just kept mostly internal/off social media.
