I had been searching for why exactly the Lane Kiffin drama irritated me as much as it has. It wasn't because he is a sleazeball; that is par for the course in college sports. It is because Lane Kiffin is a quitter. He quit on a team with a legit national title opportunity, right now! Not in the future, in the present. Chasing money is whatever, but I still thought winning was what all the money was for. This punk is a quitter of the highest magnitude.

That's a great fit. Fitzgerlad has history doing more with less, and as a lesser Big 10 school that's what he's going to have to do.

Penn State has just as much, more TV revenue, and a more realistic path to a national title.

Penn State is probably a Top 5 job in the sport. There are very, very few coaches in the country that would turn it down.

I still think he's crazy to leave BYU. It's kind of it's own little market where they have some built in recruiting advantages. Add in their NIL money and I think it's way easier to win there than at PSU. Just ask Mark Pope how he feels about his move right about now...

I agree. If PSU has waited this long, he can easily tell them to wait until the CCG and the Sunday CFP announcements.

I don’t think that meeting news is true. But irregardless, BYU doesn’t have a shot at an at-large anymore imo. With or without coach, it’s in and they’re in, lose and they’re out

Because the season isn't even over for some of these schools and coaches are interviewing and taking other jobs, and then poaching players and coaches on the way out.

I still think he's crazy to leave BYU. It's kind of it's own little market where they have some built in recruiting advantages. Add in their NIL money and I think it's way easier to win there than at PSU. Just ask Mark Pope how he feels about his move right about now...

It's also going to be really hard for him to get that Samoan pipeline to decide it wants to be on the other side of the country. I get that Penn State is a WAY better job than Virginia but you'd think he'd have learned a lesson from Bronco Mendenhall moving across the country.

Seems unlikely. Only has 2,100 followers and congratulated Franklin on his new job. JP has 41K.

I guess I just don’t care enough about other schools, especially someplace like BYU with all its’ sketchiness and advantages, or SEC schools ******* each other over. I’m happy to watch them all tear each other apart.
