Next time somebody complains TJ doesn't know how to substitute...
He took Momcilovic and Toure off the court in crunch time against UH for Batemon and Heise.
Say that to most the fanbase and they're probably confused if not apopletic.
And it worked ******* beautifully.
TJ is far from perfect, but it also seems like he knows who needs to be out there in key moments.
If we land on the 2 seed line I want UCONN as the #1 and Gonzaga as the #3. Those two teams play in inferior conferences and have been messing around with near losses to pretty poor teams all year long. Im not so sure they are battle tested. Id love our chances to make a Final 4 run with that draw.
Ditto. Loved Larry, he made some mistakes outside the arena, I get it, but still...I liked him alot. And he was a DAMN good coach. Recruiter, too.
I think it was more of Houston on almost every possession in the game seeking out Milan and having his guy set a screen so that Milan got switched onto either Flemings or Uzan. I felt Milan did a pretty good job. Stopped them a few times early on but also Houston hit plenty over him. Once Milan was out at around the 7:00 mark, the Houston guards didn't know what to do or who to seek out. Batemon and Heise did an excellent job guarding and forcing tough shots. Milan came back in for a couple minutes and they immediately sought him out and scored. Batemon came back in and they didn't score. That was such a smart move on Milan for not coming back in. They probably won the game because of it.
Why is Florida (19-6) so high in kenpom?
Their worst losses were in non-con and they've steadily improved in conference play.
They’ve also lost to Missouri, Auburn at home, and the same TCU team we lost to. I don’t really understand the metrics love.
They have losses but their losses are against good/great teams and all but one of them are by 1-2 possessions.
Lost to #1 Arizona by 6
Lost to TCU by 4
Lost to #4 Duke by 1
Lost to #5 UCONN by 4
Lost to Missouri by 2
I want none of them in March.

Iowa screeners jump side to side in order to get in front of the defender, then hip check also.
Also the best rebounding team in the nation. That will mean a lot when the tournament comes around.
This was my assumption too. Crazy that he went back and sat down. I don't know how I feel about it lol. A leader recognizing his counterpart is having a game and says welp, I'ma walk back. Or, I want my alpha shooter to have that I need to take that last shot mentality. In the past, we'd want that alpha shooter like Shayok to take the last shot, but I guess we have multiple capable shooters, it's just hard to fathom.
