2025-2026 MBB computer projections thread

Before this season, "The Vault" had more hostile crowds for volleyball than men's basketball.
PBA has been one of the best atmospheres in college basketball since it's been there. Who the **** doesn't know that? If the ISU fans with little **** syndrome can't handle that it's their problem. And that's what it is is little **** syndrome

Yeah, my favorite is "they have sucked until this year" completely forgetting they won 23 and 21 games the last 2 seasons.
They're ******* morons. Nebraska could win the national title and they'd still say his teams are ISU were better. They'd probably tell you Cael Sandersons teams were better at ISU too. Its ******* insane.

Youre a ******* moron and that is an absolute lie. I'm a been known as one of the better crowds on college basketball since it was built. You don't know ****. You lost the credibility you had. They've had better attendance than ISU for a while now. What a dumb ******* take
Is the name calling really necessary? I mean it clearly strengthens your point, but still.

Define awhile because ISU avg more then Nebraska in 2022/23.

Also Pinnacle seats about 1200 more for basketball and Lincoln is 5 times the size of Ames.

I didn't realize it was a big secret that was a tough place to play. Izzo even said a few weeks ago its one of the toughest environments he's played in. I've heard coaches say that about that place for a while. I don't understand why ISU fans have such an inferiority complex about everything. Its ******* pathetic. This fan base has become one of the most myopic in America. We have been past the sweet 16 once in 25 years yet think we're a national power in basketball. It absolutely destroys people on this board to think Nebraska was #2 in basketball. Its hilarious

semi hot take but I think Iowa State's in more danger of losing tomorrow and Saturday than of beating Kansas then sleepwalking at Cincinnati. My gut says Kansas plays its best game since the first week of December and wins tomorrow, in which case Cincinnati wouldn't be a trap, more of a "letdown" game. But, I think Iowa State would have more pep in its step after winning at The Phog than it's had the last two home games, in which the squad has looked pretty uninspired
Unfortunately, your gut was right. Yes, I’m late catching up on this thread.

Its because its Nebraska. I mean, I dont really like them either but I think its cool that Fred is doing well there.
I don't mind them either since they haven't been in the conference in forever. From a basketball standpoint I actually root for them a little in the Big 10. Maybe I'm different but I've don't think at all about Hoiberg coaching there. He was here, he left, and whatever I just moved on from it and don't care. I don't even think about the whole Hoiberg thing. I'm realize I'm in the minority

I think it's more the fact that they've still never won a single NCAA tournament game in their school's history. Most fans are probably thinking "this is a cool story....let me know when they actually accomplish something."

Honestly, who cares about Nebraska basktetball and their atmosphere. Maybe it is a good environment, or maybe it is mid. But the argument that was going on has to be one of the more pointless arguments I have ever seen, especially with people throwing hissy fits over it

I still have yet to see where he ever said that ISU was his dream job. From day 1 he said that eventually he would like to coach in the NBA. Hell, he even said that when he was on staff at Minnesota before the Iowa State job was even in the picture.

Now a lot of people in Ames and at Iowa State during that time said that ISU was Fred's dream job...
Apparently, Fred Hoiberg did explicitly described coaching at Iowa State as his "dream job" when he was introduced as the head coach in April 2010. A former Iowa State star player from Ames, Hoiberg called the opportunity to lead his alma mater a "dream come true" and a "Hollywood script".
Key details regarding Hoiberg and Iowa State:
  • "Dream Job" Confirmation: Upon hiring, Hoiberg stated, “It's my dream job,” noting the special nature of the program to him.
  • Local Connection: He referred to his return to Ames as a "dream come true" to lead the program he grew up cheering for and later played for, The New York Times reports.

Not sure what is up with your life but using this site to prove that you’re smarter than everyone else while also disparaging anyone that ‘challenges’ your elite level of intelligence is pretty entertaining. Hopefully, it’s your way of decompressing and not how you generally approach life.
