2024 NCAA Tournament Thread

God, imagine the Mulkey meltdown with the WaPo article coming this week AND losing at home to Middle Tennessee State. Please please please

methinks an impending legal bombshell may be distracting Lil Kim

Wonder what she was assaulting the refs over going into half.

K-State with more TO (20) than FG (19) at the moment. They're not getting shots off, and the ones they do get are only at 42%.

Plus just 4/14 from 3.

Confused by what Brenda said on Lee. She's played 4 years and missed 2 seasons because of injury so isn't she done?

Higher seeds went from 31-1 in the first round to 1-2 already in the second round, and LSU has work to do as well.

2019: RS (injured)
2020: FR
[2021: covid year]
2022: SO
2023: JR (injured)
2024: SR

If she wants, they'll probably try to appeal for another year.

LSU players pouting, crying, frowning, dogging it... hard to see them winning first non home game.

I don't remember all the details of last year's injury. Did she play in as many (or more) games as Soares, or did she play in a very, very small percentage of games? If it's the former, the NCAA should absolutely deny the appeal. Of course, it is the NCAA - they make up the rules and then reinterpret them at their own whim.

She didn't play at all in '19 or '23.

Unreal that they called that a foul but also that it fouled her out.

Reese and Caitlyn really deserve each other. Reese flopping and acting to foul out middle tenn's best big. Hops up and waves bye bye several times.

Then there was that issue on the free throw line that was bizarre as ****.

LSU player got away with an obvious foul and the MTSU girl just dropped her in retaliation and no call. LOL

Next play Van Lith falls down on purpose to draw an offensive foul.

I have the LSU-MTSU game on but haven't been paying super close attention. Has it been bad calls putting MTSU in foul trouble? Or has it just been MTSU being overmatched by LSU's talent/athleticism?
