I bag on the Chiefs plenty too. I feel like I speak pretty objectively even when it comes to my favorite teams. Go back and look. Even Patrick Mahomes isnt above me calling out stupid play. Ive historically been very hard on Travis Kelce too. Whether it be the stupid penalties early in his career or the times more recently I've felt like he needs to simply start taking his job seriously consistently.
I get defensive about anything I think is a bad argument. Doesn't even have to be my team. #15 is the best QB in the NFL. You don't have to be a Chiefs fan to see this. Ive even stuck up for Hawkeyes at times when I think people are dead wrong. Im certainly not always right but Ive always thought just calling balls and strikes objectively is the way to go. Makes for a better argument and gives people more credibility IMO.
Yikes.. All this because I and a few others said they don't like the way OKC plays? Jesus. If he likes the Thunder, fine. Many people don't. That's like.. the basics of fandom.
What am I irrational about? Im as realistic about my teams as anyone. In fact my cynicism annoys others Chiefs fans at times. I had a slight rooting interest in OKC. I would have slept fine in Indiana would have won. Im was arguably harder on Paul Rhoades than anyone on this board. Id buy the argument that im overly cynical and pessimistic argument way more than im a sunshine pumper. If you want a good laugh look at the first post ever in the Chiefs thread.

You said Brady wasn’t considered a great QB until his second string of titles and Mahomes 8 years as a starter is better than any other QBs ever and “it’s not particularly close”
I mean he really wasnt until he'd won like 3 titles though. They were known as more of defensive teams and Brady as a game manager. Hes got the hardware now so he can be considered the best ever. Cool. Ill take Mahomes though. I think hes better at his best than Brady but thats just my opinion. I mean hes got 20 seasons to compare against roughly 10. At the end of the day I just want titles. The same people who think Brady is the GOAT though had better say Bill Russell is the best basketball player ever though.

And even then wasnt considered the best QB in the league. It wasnt until 2010ish tje people started comparing him to Manning. The Patriots defense stole the show. The guy had 3 titles before he even made an all pro team.
It was around there but not sure exactly.
