Ive given him plenty of props. Hes a top 15 player. If he wants the credit people on this board think he should get he cant take nights off statistically. Thats why I cant say top 10 yet. Sad but true. Hes well on his way. I enjoy watching the guy play. Im just brutally honest in my opinions.

You know the injury happened in the game you’re raging about right? You’re going Stephen A and Skip Bayless level. He had a small handful of subpar games before the severe injury. I’d focus your anti Cyclone rage on those games to not seem so cruel, the guy may never be the same and you’re riding him for the stats the game the injury first happened.

He'll be fine. Hes a multimillionaire either way. The sun will come up this morning for him.

But you’re being really weird obsessing over his stat line in a game he was risking his career to even play. It’s gross and identical to Skip Bayless, maybe you like Skip Bayless.

He had 2-3 other bad games in his historic playoff run before the injury, I’d focus your rage on those if you really have to trash a Cyclone legend here.

It really has nothing to do with him personally. Ive just get annoyed when people on here say he isn't getting credit for this and that. Show up every night if you want your due. You know how this works. And the double standard from this fanbase on **** kills me. I love the Hali doing the choke thing with is hands personally. Dude could you imagine wtf this board would be saying if SGA did that? Im an ISU fan but I dont belong to a cult.

Feel terrible for Hali today. His worst nightmare came true

With that said, and a bit of a different topic, NBA playoffs are way too long. The Pacers played their final regular season game on April 13. Playoffs should not take over 2 months to complete.

Pacers played 23 additional games, or another 28% season worth of games. This extra strain will lead to more and more injuries. The same principle applies to the NHL as well

I would propose this change:
Conference first round: best of 3
All other rounds: best of 5

Pacers would had played 15 playoff games instead of 23 with this structure. 8 games may not sound like much, but it’s about a 35% reduction in the number of playoff games.

But the reason this won’t happen is a drop of revenues. And the league would never approve this structure because of these lower revenues
Never happen. It's all about the money. Everything is always only about the money.

Yeah but your example is the game he got hurt risking his career. Use other games if you want to do that.

Saying he didn’t “show up” in game 5 is the worst take possible. He put his career on the line in the last 3 games. You know everybody hates Skip and Stephen A…why would you try to be identical to them?

Why would people want less playoffs? Shorter regular season I get.

I’m late 40s and I have great memories of watching nba finals in June as a little kid, it’s not like it used to end in April. The first round was 5 games back then and series were 2-3-2 but otherwise same format.

Yeah game 5 is when he got injured. He played injured since, the calf strain causes the Achilles tear. You’re throwing him under the bus for a game he put his career on the line, they even mentioned it was same risk KD took playing on it before he tore Achilles.

I mean maybe you consume a lot of hate-based media that acted like he had a terrible game w no injury. It clearly was serious.

He said I’m disrespecting SGA by calling him #2 player in world in a season Jokic had the greatest stat line in basketball history.

I think he is SGA’s sexual lover or something.

He gets like this with the stupid Chiefs too. He acts like we should all be Oklahoma City fans and Chiefs fans just because he is. And he gets insulted if anyone dare to disagree with his ********.

The fun of being a fan is being loyal and sometimes unrealistic. This is an Iowa State board, so it stands to reason that most of us are loyal to Tyrese and therefore a bit unrealistic about him. Instead of accepting that, he gets all butthurt about it and freaks out when anyone dares to question the teams and players that HE likes.

You belong to a cult of the teams you actually like though. You are as defensive about the god damned Chiefs as anyone is here about the Pacers.

Really sucks for Tyrese and the Pacers. Had events gone slightly different and this series ended one game sooner, he's either walking around as an NBA champ or at least beginning rest and thinking about next year and how to finish the job.

I forget the reason why, but the scheduling of the Finals definitely changed in 2016.

From 1987 (most recent Lakers vs. Celtics coast-to-coast Finals) to 2015, the average time between Finals games was 2.3 days and there were three days between games 32% of the time. Since 2016, the average time between Finals games is 2.7 days and there are three days between games 70% of the time. Excluding the bubble season where they went back to primarily two-day breaks, it's 2.8 days and 76%.

Is 2016 when they switched from 2-3-2 to the 2-2-1-1-1?

We might need a new thread for people who don’t want to trash a guy because he had a bad game 5 playing with severe injury.

Or doesn't accept that every player has bad games.

It is just a real ****** thing to do the day after a player that everyone, but him, loves suffers a serious injury.
