The NBA made sure they get a game 7 with those officials
"They" (I am not sure who "they" is in my conspiracy) know ratings won't be high without NY/LA/Boston, so gotta take it to seven to maximize the ads run.

Pacers had a bad 4th quarter but they've been getting jobbed all series, they shouldn't have to be 10+ points better than OKC to win a home game yet that's what it's taken.

I hadn't been watching the NBA much for a long while, but Haliburton/Pacers pulled me back in. I'm just reminded why I don't enjoy watching - the game is too easily manipulated by the refs, whether intentional or not. It's hard to enjoy the sport as much as I'd like to.

I'm really glad for the finals matchup this year, but Haliburton is really the only thing keeping my interest up overall.
You must hate college then. The officiating is far far better in the NBA. The difference is striking.

The Pacers loss wasn’t the refs fault. They blew it.

I think it was a combination.... the Pacers blew it... but without a couple of those horrific calls down the stretch... the Pacers would have still won it despite their poor play.

That play above where Tyrese flat out gets two hand shoved... and no call... is SO blatant and obvious. And the other one that comes to mind is SGA's forearm push off right to the chest of the Pacer defender... followed by a blatant travel was REALLY bad too.

Same here. I’d add that I’m surprised how physical the defensive hand and body checking has become. In college, the refs “let the players” decide the game in the last possession of a close game and it appears in the NBA this attitude starts at tip-off. That game was a wrestling match disguised as basketball. I doubt a conspiracy but SGA got away with pushing off his defender while gifted the ft line for slight defensive touches. Pacers folded at the end.

You're right about college officiating and the Pacers in this case (they blew it), but the refs control flow and the extended push offs allowed in the NBA are too much.

Control of game flow, and when certain fouls are called or not. I'm not even saying it's a conspiracy, just that the game is way too fast for officials at this point and there is inherent bias. You see much less of this in baseball and hockey. Football has it, but it isn't continual motion play.

The way they closed out fourth quarter game 3 and the way the bench sped them up in the second, wasn’t sure that was possible for Indy to do against THIS team.

I believe. Hope it happens tonight. But believe they get the series. Yes ‘cer
And then the way they failed to close out the fourth in game 4 may have just cost them the series.

Best of 3 with two in OKC. Can they steal another road win? That is if they hold serve at home.

Really not a fan of how that game ended.

I agree with this for the most part. The regular season is really good. The playoffs tend be very biased and the Pacers are not on the right side of the bias in this Finals.

Still bummed about last night.

The pacers are able to win in OKC. Got to go get one. They are due for Turner or Siakam or Nesmith to have a big game. Need to shoot out of their minds for a couple game and hoist a trophy.

Carlisle has been out coached in this series IMO. He needs to find his team some answers and have better rotations.

I agree with you on officiating. In fairness to the college referees though I think they are finding it harder to set tempo every year given the lack of continuity on rosters. I think good play from a team standpoint makes it 2x as easy to call a game. I don't think NBA officials would do any better given the same circumstances.
