I used to like the Knicks when Oakley, Starks, and that group was there. Pat Riley coaching. Those teams were gritty and tough as nails.
Between then and last year was a quarter century of suck and ridiculous media coverage.

That's been their problem for a while now. They even got big production from #3 option Bridges. They just aren’t deep.
Cheering against the Knicks since early 90s is my most successful sports team by light years. Among the most fun too.
The number of seasons experts peg them for a playoff run and they end up near last over decades is hilarious.
Even the year Jordan was out they blew it against Houston. The year they were the 8 seed and made the run with Spreewell they were fun to watch too.Between then and last year was a quarter century of suck and ridiculous media coverage.
Should clarify that not all New York sports fans are the same - Mets/Islanders fans (let's not pretend the Nets actually have fans) are not the same as Yankees/Rangers/Knicks fans. There's a certain delusion of grandeur and entitlement that comes with the latter that isn't with the former. And I'd say "success" would be a defining factor in that... but how successful have the Rangers and Knicks been? The Knicks have 2 titles in the early 1970s, and the Rangers have 1 Stanley Cup since 1940 (trust me - growing up as an Islanders fan, that was a taunt directed at the Rangers).
Tyrese giving Barkley **** about well done steaks.
They were just better than the knicks. What was the knicks biggest lead? 5 or 6?That was kind of a shockingly flawed yet calm comfortable playoff road win. Almost shocked me more than wild game 1 win I’ve come to expect.
I hope so.The Knicks are broken. Can’t keep up.

pacers just have too many good young players for the Knicks to defend. Brunson is a good player but he's just so ball dominant and ends up as just a real high volume guy. Maybe the Knicks can steal one but they are over matched.
There aren’t many pass first all star PGs.Haliburtons don’t grow on trees but surrounding a pass first all star pg with a ton of good but not great talent might be a great model for a gm.

They seem wore out and demoralized. The Knicks are broken. Can’t keep up.
