NBA: *** 2024 NBA thread ***

Refs have to be on the way soon. NY looks sluggish.

Despite being down the first half was the only halves vs Cavs or Knicks I felt like Pacers got a consistent whistle and they even called one of Brunson’s obvious offensive fouls.

Knicks only shooting 3s now. That can go either way given how easy their two stars get points in paint.

They have been pretty consistent so far and not gifting many FTs or calls.

Siakam is carrying them more than any game I’ve seen him for Pacers.

McConnell has played really good in this stretch with Tyrese on the bench. Not just hitting shots, he's kept the Knicks off balance. How they Knicks hold up against this pace will be the key, they looked worn down at the end of game 1. Pacers are unique in that when they sit Tyrese, they play just as fast. Puts a ton of pressure on a team like the Knicks who aren't that deep and want to play a much slower pace.

They are one two punch that allows no breaks.

Knicks and Nuggets could use 9th/10th guy off bench to do what Ben Shepherd has done for Pacers. 10 minutes of tough defense and hit a shot if you’re wide open.

Carlisle credited Shepherd’s minutes for Nesmith having the energy to go nuts on Wednesday.
