***2024 CFB Week 8 (Oct. 15-19) Games Thread***

To be honest, any 11-1 B1G champion or CCG loser is going into the playoff, even if it’s Rutgers
As they should because we in Big 12 land would be screaming (and rightfully so) the same thing. Barring some really weird stuff any P4 team that has only 1 loss at the end of the regular season/CCG should be in the playoff.

The best thing about today's OU game is not having to hear the stupid band play the OU fight song every 10 seconds. What an awesome beat down.

They walked into it on the verge of mediocrity although they were OK last year.

Unfortunately the narrative will be 'welcome to the SEC' like Nebraska did when they switched when the reality is it's the team/program, not the conference.
Nebby was fine until their southern recruiting connections dried up. They made the CCG their first year I believe.

Man, is Lincoln Riley still coaching at Oklahoma? Oklahoma defense looks eerily similar to USC defense
At least OU would be scoring if Riley was still coach. They stink all the way around. The only 2 things propping them up to be ranked before this week are that "Oklahoma" is on their jerseys and that they play in SECSEC

Forum board complaints, not enough NIL money to compete against the “big boys”. What did all the oil wells dry up? All the girls turn ugly? Spend all their money on Trump Bibles?

Auburn scoop & score against Mizzou.

Mizzou not having a great season after their great year last year.

South Carolina about to score again to end the OU's nightmare first half. OU getting humiliated on their home field by a 1-3 SEC team.

South Carolina's fake field goal attempt was wide open for another touchdown but they messed up the pass.

2nd year. They got rung up by WI in their first B1G game but still had a decent season overall.

Even in those decent years they still weren't even close to their best years.

The difference was Pelini getting let go.

Before he got there in 2009 (came back) they had some very bad/mediocre seasons.

Watching KU hang 70+ on them was marvelous.

Really boring slate of early games in what looked like it could be exciting. Let’s hope our game is boring tonight in a good way for us and all of the rest of the games today can be exciting.
