***2024 CFB Week 7 (Oct. 8 -Oct. 12) Games Thread***

Utes got swept by the Arizona schools, not sure anyone had that on their bingo cards this year.
It's funny how cyclical things can be in college football. Arizona and Arizona State left the WAC for the Pac 10 in '78 and Utah didn't join them there till '11. Utah becomes more competitive than them in recent years, but then this year (maybe it's a blip) they both beat Utah.

I was told Utah was going to lay pipe to the rest of this league just as soon as Rising was back?

Congrats on their lone conference win so far by three points over the worst OSU team in 10 years I guess.

This. I was so happy to have them (and Zona, ASU, and Colorado) join the conference but Ute fans have acted like they have no business being in the Big 12 and that they would walk all over the conference. I am good with them getting a reality check in their first year in the Big 12. Hopefully some legacy Big 12 teams can give them another loss or two (looking at you Clones).

Maybe the talent level in the truckstop conference is a little higher than the second-tier PAC-12 teams want to give it credit for.

What they meant was the old Big12 teams. The PAC teams are too tough.

A lot of Ute fans on social were saying that after the Arizona loss and they are still saying that after the Arizona State loss. Now, it’s much more quiet since they’ve lost twice already in conference, but would be really sweet if we went in there and beat them later in the year. I do want some OG teams to beat them.

That looked like a broken football team last night. Utah quit. Has been some talk about their NIL being way behind, I wonder if there is some truth to it.

That toxic attitude the fans have, and the arrogance of the coach, it wears off on a team after awhile.

My algorithm has Utah at 4-5 in the Big 12.
If they somehow went 4-5 in league play I would be ecstatic. Talk about the biggest egg on your face after how cocky and arrogant a portion of their fans were when joining the conference.

So watching them this year compared to the past several years they look so different. Very sloppy, not disciplined in several areas and Whittingham looks disinterested and is making weird decisions out there. You almost wonder if they themselves were a little too arrogant coming into this “truck stop conference”.

I hate Utah, but to be fair to them, their losses are against former pac 12 teams. Unfortunately they’re 2-0 against the hateful 8 this year
