As I was saying the line play has been falling steadily since day has been the coach

Lol ok. I'd say the fumble and onside kick were bigger factors. Two really good offenses, Oregon was able to get more possessions.

Ohio St still had optimal position at the end but it was the qb, not the line that was the issue.

That’s the point. The fact that it was fair just shows how far OSU’s line play has fallen. Their defense is unable to contain good teams anymore the way they could before day was coach and their Oline isn’t nearly as dominate. That’s why Oregon was able to stay close and get the win, even with that first TD gifted to OSU on that bad INT call

I'm assuming that Oregon/Ohio State outcome was a good thing as far as keeping Iowa out of a potential Big 10 title game should they win out (which i don't think they will).

Behind you
Epic choke by Will Howard. Falls down on one play, oblivious of the clock on another and then the cherry on top of running with the ball when there isn't time enough.
One of the most unaware plays I've ever seen a QB make. Woof.

Had Oregon taken advantage of scoring opportunities they had this wouldn't be nearly as close as it was.

Every team has ifs. If OSU doesn't gift them two possessions on their side of the field, Oregon missing an extra point and field goal don't matter as much.

The key is games like this almost always come down to the last possession and OSU threw up on themselves.

Another thing, I dont know if Oregon intentionally played with 12 men but I'd have played with 15 if the only cost is 5 yards in exchange for the time the play took.
