With cal currently beating Miami, and USC and Michaihn also losing, maybe playing games in radically different time zones is a bigger negative then thought. Like I knew it would have an effect but will be interesting to see the trend
It’s almost like decision makers have their head shoved so far up their ass they don’t think much about anything other than money when blowing up conferences. Sec/bigten

I joke about it but I really wonder if there's a knee jerk reaction at some point to change the rules again so those programs keep the ratings darling image.
I mean we’ve seen the powers that be are trying to stack the deck at any chance they get.

We all know the SEC narrative tomorrow will be how deep the conference is. That’s the only way they can rationalize their two highest ranked teams losing against unranked teams
Yep, I said the same thing earlier in this thread. Finebaum and other SEC talking heads are going to be unbearable.

Depth is an issue for sure with the transfers more than NIL. I was talking about a lot of the teams being upset today were playing in radically different time zones.
The time zone thing was talked about with the Big Ten and ACC in particular but not enough imo. Look at the pros. The time zone thing is a real factor and those are the pros where that’s all they do is focus on football.

I get school is a joke in college football BUT it is still a thing they have to focus a bit on. So the time zone thing is real.

I mean that’s like saying Georgia state which beat vandy who beat bama. Transitive property doesn’t really work in football even though it gets talked about alot
I don’t buy the transitive property in any way shape or form.

However, when we are doing a glorified beauty pageant to pick these at-large teams it’s a data point whether we like it or not. At least it should be. It would be if it benefited the SEC or Big Ten.

Wouldn’t mind seeing KU lose to be honest. They man shutdown with a couple more losses
Fairweather KU fans have already shut down.

After their heads got so big they thought they were winning the B12 and going to the Natty. They got pretty insufferable on socials.
