They just showed tOSU's remaining games this season. If Iowa had THAT schedule, I'm not sure they would win more than 1 or 2 games the rest of the way (Purdue & Nebby).

Unless Nebraska or Wisconsin build back up to top 15 teams it's still going to be very hard for them to have a tough Big Ten schedule.

It could happen, but those 6 non-rivalry spots would have to draw at least four among tOSU, Mich, USC, Oregon, PSU and probably some other team being better than usual.

I'm kind of surprised the good Big Ten teams are fine with the situation. It must be like how Sauron didn't even consider a hobbit could walk up to mount doom and throw the ring in the lava.

Typical Hawkeye no show. Was hoping they’d have a pulse & give us some cred in the polls but no. Most Hawk fans stood up for Kirk & forced Brian out but it’s pretty obvious where the rot is, it’s all about ball control & punting with KF.

What's left for Iowa per Sagarin:
40
70
85
53
72
49
30
Average: 57

For comparison what's left for us including tonight:
47
42
34
38
50
48
20
13
Average: 36.5 (it actually goes even lower if you don't count today's game)

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
That’s wild. We don’t play a single game that’s easier than their average

That’s why I mentioned it because there’s actually a chance that could win out and not have to score any points at all hardly . That would probably get them sniffy the title game….lol

They’ll probably cough up a game or two, but who knows?

I would add that their 3 hardest games left are wash, wisc and men all at home

You're using a team's Sagarin rating today as if that's where they'll be in 7 weeks?

What's a better data metric to rank every single team? I'm sure if you have one it would show the same thing. It's five weeks of data and one week of last year. It has ISU ranked exactly the same as AP, it knew Missouri was overrated before being exposed today.

Iowa struck gold with the protected rivalry. Long term I don't think Nebraska and Minnesota will ever be that good. Wisconsin has upside to build back up where that's not a great thing to have guaranteed though.

No show?

So far it's pretty easy to determine that they just aren't that good.

So.... Iowas schedule will end up being weaker. Like most years. Thats been shown on here a few times using the end of season numbers their season is weaker than what it is expected to be at the beginning.

On the one hand, if you combine our schedules they have only game that's nearly a guaranteed loss.

On the other hand it's just another year where the weak middle and bottom of the Big Ten make it really easy for an average Big Ten team to get in the 7-9 win range.

Your average team should be around 7 wins, if they get to 9 then you can call BS all day and I’ll be right there with ya. I think they get 7 or 8

So as of today you'd agree that Iowa is better than every other Big 12 team except ISU and KSU?
