Just saw an anonymous post on Facebook that Leo Deluca has flipped from Iowa. No clue if it’s true, but he took an official to ISU. Anyone heard anything?

Looks like his instagram still has Iowa Hawkeye in it

Castillo currently ranked #4 nationally. Faced #2 Botero from PA in the semis of super 32. Botero going to Michigan.

Nice rideout from Castillo with a leg ride in the 2nd. Then gets away with about 10 seconds left in the 3rd to win 1-0. Nice win.

Chris Perry in Castillo’s corner.

Castillo won in the finals 6-5 in tiebreakers.
Talked to some people at wrestle-offs yesterday and they are extremely high on Castillo. He looks bigger, has hit the weights hard, and is growing into a true 125. I think he has a chance to go as a true freshman in 2025 and be an impact guy right away

I missed a match or two, but watched most of his Super 32. He's a much better mat wrestler than I would've thought for a freestyle guy.

Are him and Carter both going to be at 120 this high school season? If so, I don’t love that. I hope one of them goes 126 to avoid each other

Give me the guys that seek out the challenges, not avoid them. If they’re both at the same weight it will only make them both better.
Yep! Sure only one could win a state title, but the benefits of wrestling the best as much as you can outweigh that in the long run.

I think there's also something to be said about training every day with one specific opponent in mind. Might keep an elite guy focused during the weeks where they're wrestling a bunch of kids who aren't quite on their level.
