Guessing K-State won't change a whole lot of what they do/style but still not the greatest thing to be facing an OC in the 1st game of the season when you don't have film on them with this K-State team.
It’s a wash imo considering KSU will go into this with having a new OC

Their QB will be on their 3rd OC in 3years.

Also I thought Riley also handled the O Line which was usually very good for them

Big loss for them

If it disrupts continuity, and can potentially give us the edge over K-State with our game being early in the season in Ireland, sounds good to me!

That's best case scenario for them - much like when we went from Manning to Scheelhaus to Mouse.
I'm sure it'll be fine since there is continuity with him being there and Klieman isn't going to let the style change much. I've never been real impressed with Wells though. His squads were bad as often as they were any good at Utah State and then he was a flop at Tech.

More impactful perhaps is how they replace Riley with a new o-line coach. They are replacing three starting lineman and added three in the portal. Lots to get right there before the season and hopefully that'll be an area where it's good thing to get them early in the season before that group is settled in.
