I actually think it was the right call to keep Napier. No one has faced a tougher schedule last year and this year, so I get the hot seat though because the record is rough. They appear to have a really good QB to forward with in Lagway, a really good freshman RB too along with playing a lot of young guys up and down the depth chart. I imagine they'll be in the portal hard as well. They're a sneaky pick to be really good next year.
Now they need to not **** the bed against FSU to finish the year though. Getting to 6-6 and having bowl game/practices is a big deal for a team in their spot.

the reason so few p4 schools are firing coaches is because that is expensive and next year they have to come up with an additional 22 million a year to fund the house settlement, or risk being booted to the group of 5.
most ads at schools like wvu are scared shitless of the revenue sharing requirement, and they dont want the added expense of firing/hiring on the eve of its going live.
i can foresee, and predict at least 5 current p4 programs will voluntarily drop down to avoid the revenue sharing requirement.
nb also makes 4 million a year, which ranks 58th in p4 coaching salaries. an upgrade will cost 6 million a year, plus more for staff and NIL.

I would be curious if the case to move forward with revenue sharing model differs between public and private schools. Specific to football and teams in Big12, ACC and G5.
Probably a no brainer for schools like TCU, Baylor, SMU. But what about Wake Forest, Boston College, Duke, Rice, Tulsa, etc.
Also does home attendance come into play as a key non-media revenue source: Hawaii (11,251), Charlotte (12,471), Temple (13,446)
Also are Army, Navy and Air Force exempt from the House settlement?
Service academies are exempt. They're not eligible for NIL or any other compensation.
