Williams would come off the bench. Again for the umpteenth time, Gabe will be starting next year if he is in Ames

Pollard said yesterday that he was the PG after Hunter left. Mentioned he's met with every transfer and their family.

Gabe starting over Williams lowers the ceiling for the team. One is a TO machine. The other looks to be the most proven D1 ball handler on the projected roster

Idk of that's the case, but whoever can execute whatever our offense will be next year and not turn the ball over will start at PG. Between Holmes and Williams. If they're neck and neck on that end then TJ might lean Williams since he's supposed to be the better defender.

Idc either way though.

This would be a nice option if Bates goes elsewhere. Plus with Holmes committing tonight, that should give us an edge to getting him
In a way, I look at it differently, just that it wouldn't necessarily give us an edge. I mean, they've already played together, so how often does a transfer go to the same place as a teammate? Not often. Maybe thinking they'd like to make their own path or write a different chapter. Besides, Holmes had so much connection w/ Romulus/Schmidt/etc.

Enaruna started too.

Williams will likely see more minutes than Gabe or Holmes imo.

Holmes is a nice base hit. Not as good as when we first started recruiting him and had Hunter and maybe even IB, but hopefully and upgrade over Gabe
