Tre Jackson -> Jeremiah Williams
Jaden Walker -> Gabe Kalscheur?
Tristian Enaruna -> Open
George Conditt -> Open
Izaiah Brockington -> Open

3 openings? Biggest need is scoring combo guard followed by stretch forward/center
Yes 3 openings if Gabe decides to come back. That makes adding Hason Ward along with a combo guard and a stretch forward/center(Basile) possible. Similar to Jeremiah Williams, I love Ward as a role player but don't want the team to have to lean on him too much.

I hope Gabe doesn't come back

I hope he isn't asked to score 10-15 every night and handle the ball a bunch. Reduce his role to limit what we ask of him on offense. If he is hot, play him. If it's not his night. There should be other to carry the scoring load
I wouldn't go that far but I hope he's in a position to be a much lower volume player on offense.

Basically what this said ^

Best fans in the nation! Lol

Just because we don't like a player doesn't mean we are bad fans. It drove me crazy watching him try to prove to everyone he was a good shooter all season. Players like him that have to feed their ego, and keep trying to prove themselves are the worst. If he would have just accepted the fact that he's a bad 3 point shooter, and stopped shooting unless he was wide open or it was late in the shot clock. Then he wouldn't irritate so many people. But his ego was more important than what's best for the team sadly.

Did I miss Enaruna entering the portal? Real question

Alright, it's that time of the week again. Portal updates

Miryne Thomas has a top 6, we are not on it. I would assume we stopped recruiting him once we got Williams

UConn fans seem to think they got Tristen Newton from ECU. Nothing official though

As posted yesterday it appears we are in the top 6 for Manny Bates

As mentioned in the transfer thread, Eric Williams Jr has somewhat narrowed down his list. Says he has a lot of attention from schools but we were not mentioned as one of the schools with higher interest

Johni Broome has visits set up with Kentucky and Auburn. Seeing nothing about anyone else right now so a question mark here

And as mentioned, Hason Ward is set for a visit

Gabe averaged nearly 31 mpg. We saw players get pulled all season for not doing exactly what TJ wanted them to do. When people make posts like that, I wonder if they think that they know more than TJ and the staff. Because otherwise, if TJ played him 31 mpg, he must have been pretty fine with his shot selection (which he also said he was, many times). It's not like he would have been hesitant with the hook--he wasn't with anyone else.

A guy that busted his butt all year on defense, even tho he took the rath of fans for his spotty offense, along with the frustration he must have felt.......yet his ego was more important than what was best for the team? Give me a break.....what guy were you watching? What coach are you questioning?

You don't think staffs can make mistakes and be a bit blind by loyalty to their "guys"? And Gabe is very much TJ's guy.

Our offense was bad. TJ is the OC of our offense. We can not have a 23% shooter, one that has not shot well in a long time, take 170 3PA. Also, let's get away from having a 5 like Conditt start our offense with his back to the basket beyond the 3P line.

I never said he wasn't good at defense. He has a massive ego when it comes to 3 point shooting though. Why else would a player that is that bad at shooting 3's, feel the need to shoot 170 3's. He shot the most 3's on the team, and had the worst shooting percentage. That's a problem.

TJ shouldn't be fine with a 24% shooter shooting the most 3's on the team. His job is to manage efficient offense. Allowing that to happen, isn't managing it very well imo.

Agreed his coaching should definitely be questioned...what was he thinking, he had all those stud shooters sitting on the bench he should have put in instead

I think it's more about being able to get a player to adjust their play than always just being able to bench someone.
