***2022 PGA Tour Thread***

As far as the WM Open is concerned, I love it all! The energy levels are awesome and who really cares if they are not all true golf fans, it’s bringing people out to the course to watch. I’m not saying every tournament should be like this, far from it, but the stuffiness and elitism from golf and golf fans is annoying as hell.

When me and the guys play we are drinking beer, we are smoking cigars (among other things), we are playing music and having a blast. We are also mindful of other groups as to not be too loud around them, we fix out divots, we repair ball marks on the green, and keep the pace of play. I shouldn’t have to be funeral quiet to be out there and I say **** you to the people who disagree, lol.

If Phil makes the jump, he will lose a lot of fans in the US. Any golfer that makes the jump will lose a lot of fans

While I totally disagree with it, I can somewhat appreciate anyone who just comes out and says "it was way too much money to pass up." But this line of **** from Phil about doing this to reform the PGA is so disingenuous it hurts, and I'm glad some of the big-named guys are calling him out on it.

Yeah I mean, I can't blame anyone for jumping at the rumored money they are offering. But they will still lose a lot of fans by making that choice.

Rahm shoots his first over par score in 34 rounds. Had best streak going since 2003.

Phil doesn't care. I remember a number of years ago when people would argue that Phil is some sort of everyman type of character. It wasn't ever true and now people are beginning to see it. I can't wait for this Shipnuck book to come out. The dude just isn't a good guy.

Cultivating a character for profit or political gains is a timeless tradition.

He's an Ahole.

Always has been. No one found it weird that he was always playing around with the newest young guys and never around anyone of his age. It's because people can't and couldn't stand to be around his obnoxious persona. Of course, the media didn't help as everyman Phil vs the unapproachable Tiger Woods was a much better story than if you paint Phil how he actually is.

I think it's really funny how Tiger has nuked Phil in terms of his new league and also took the PIP from him. Hell, if Phil is so worried about the right people getting their money, he should be cutting some righteous checks to Tiger as well. I'm guessing that didn't happen.
