NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

This had to be a condition set for Brady coming back, no?
Maybe. But he's also pretty old and a cancer survivor. Can't rule out medical for a sudden reduction in duties

I’m just going off the rumors. Especially the most recent ones about him not necessarily being in TB this coming season.
Edit: I’ve always liked Arians. And Brady’s always been pretty sensitive about coaches getting up in his face.

That seems odd to trade picks in the middle of the round, this far away from the draft. Usually you see this kind of thing when a team is targeting a specific player. But that's still really fluid right now. No idea who will be available

Reading a little more about this, and it seems some people think that New Orleans is trying to acquire capital to move up even further to take a QB. I'm not sure if there are any QBs in this draft that are exciting enough to make me want to move up to take them.

Praying whomever the Saints want is available at 12 when Minnesota is up. I'd love 16 and 19 plus a mid-round pick.

Then we can go BPA and draft for need in round 1
I could actually see Minnesota moving up a couple picks to make sure they can get Stingley at Cornerback. That seems to be the biggest hole in the roster right now. But assuming Stingley is gone, and of course Gardner as well, I wouldn't be upset with trading back in the first round.

IMO there’s no QB worth moving up for at all in this draft.

I’d be shocked if any QB in this draft ever became a regular starter in the NFL.

Agree Gardner should certainly be gone. If Stingley is as well, not a big loss IMO because of his injury history.
I'd also rather see the Vikes move down a couple and still get McDuffie.

Apparently they really like Stingley. There's a connection between him and their DB coach Daronte Jones, who coached Stingley at LSU. I'm guessing he has as good of intel on him as anyone.

No doubt the talent is there. Hopefully their medical eval on his durability is just as accurate.

Here's what the Saints are planning... well, my prediction anyways... they give up picks 16, 19, and a 3rd rounder to Carolina for pick 6 and a 5th or 6th round pick. The Saints realize that Carolina has a ton of needs but they don't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick, and will use this to their advantage. I'm thinking the Saints will make this trade in order to draft Ole Miss QB Matt Corral. He reminds me of Drew Brees a little bit.
