NBA: 2022 NBA Playoffs

Whose your pick to win it all right now? I’m going to go with the Bucks to repeat. But I think my favorite team remaining (barely) is actually the Celtics.

76ers looked totally outclassed and out hustled that game. Which is embarrassing in a home elimination game

The 76ers are going to extend Harden and there’s no way they can feel good about it.

idk. Harden is eligible for a $250 million extension. Can they really do that? They need to dodge that bullet.

But I agree that they cannot feel good about an extension. Might strap the team for years.

Harden should be sent to the G League with that performance last night. Or lack of performance. Pathetic effort. If a team gives him a max...good luck. Piss poor, pouty attitude most of his career.

Only takes a max deal to keep him.

The problem is if they let him go, they can't really replace him due to their cap situation. It's not like they can sign someone else instead. It's either extend him and hold your nose at the price, or lose him and have a min contract available for the roster spot. Which may be the slightly better long term play but not only have you lost your return for Simmons, you've also given up Curry and two first round picks to do so.

Morey could try to tear everything down and get crazy to find more cap space, but this is Embiid's prime. You tank to get a guy like him, you can't waste these years.

Looks like the east winner will be the winner as of now. GS and PHX stink periodically and neither team playing them looks as good as Miami Boston or Milwaukee.

If Phila signs Harden, they are done. I'd pay him to go away if I had to.

I just don't know where he would land now. Like a legit playoff team that isn't a champion looking to make a step up like the Jazz, Mavs, Raptors, Nuggets? I feel like that would be toxic.

Watch the Bulls sign him.

In a trade? Once his extension kicks in he's quickly approaching Wall/Westbrook territory. Where you're trading for a very similar asset just because its something new. He's not a good fit with Luka or Jokic, they need guys who are happy with not having the ball in their hands a ton and will defend their ass off. No team asks their guys to travel more than Toronto does on defense with how much they trap and recover so def not a good fit there. From a non-basketball standpoint Harden stuck in Utah makes me laugh, Philly would do Mitchell for Harden in a second I'm sure but that doesn't make sense for the Jazz.

If there was a trade, the only thing I can really see is him to the Lakers due to the Klutch connection with a third team involved taking Westbrook, but neither the Lakers of 76ers have a ton of good future assets that would make a team want to take on that salary. I was trying to find another bad contract that a team could be trying to get out of and there's actually surprisingly few terrible deals once you get past the Wall/Westrbook/Harden group. Tobias Harris and Kevin Love are probably the two deals that teams would be looking to dump first but Harris is already on Philly and Cleveland doesn't make sense as a trade partner.

He needs to shave the beard and lay off the carbs in the off season.
